The
Spirits Business is preparing to host members of the drinks industry at
its inaugural Spirited event in London – when attendees can immerse
themselves in the latest trends and products shaping the sector.
Held on 15 March 2018 at Nine
Adam Street in London, Spirited will be exclusively open to members of the
trade from 12pm-4pm. Visitors will have the
opportunity to attend three different seminars.
At 1pm, The Spirits Business editor
Amy Hopkins and The Whisky Exchange’s Billy Abbott will host a
‘Boundary-Breaking Whiskies’ masterclass, which will explore innovative and
transgressive whiskies from around the world.
At 2pm, Jon Anders Fjeldsrud,
brand champion for Mexico and the Nordics at Amathus Drinks, will take guests
on a journey through the production of mezcal in his ‘Mezcal 101’ session.
Finally, at 3pm, Hannah Lanfear,
spirits educator with the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET), will host
the ‘WSET: Exploring the Evolution of Flavour in Gin’ seminar.
All masterclasses are free to
attend and places will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Spirited will also feature a
number of brand stands showcasing new and cutting-edge products.
A World Bar will offer 16 cocktails from around the
world, while a Taste Masters Zone will showcase top scorers from The Global
Spirits Masters series. The New Products Zone will highlight new
spirits making waves in the UK market.
