Waiting is a thing of the past. We
live in the instant
generation where we expect an Uber to arrive in
less than 3 minutes, a takeaway to be at your doorstep within the hour and
clothes to be delivered to your door the same or next day.
We are not patient anymore
and singletons across the country agree. The rise of the dating apps
such as Tinder and Bumble has reached it’s peak and things are changing. Disengaged dating app users
are getting fed up of getting matches that never speak, reply or actually want
to meet (other than for hook ups!). Single people of all generations are
getting repetitive strain injury swiping through endless ‘potential partners’
with no progress whatsoever.
The world and our place in
it is changing. Dating is no different. Singles across the country and abroad are avoiding these frustrating situations
by looking to find dates.
Literally there and then,
at the touch of a button, in the moment. Just like celebrities such as Ed Sheeran take
time off from social media, more and more singles are looking to take their
dates offline.
The online dating bubble
has burst and people are craving human contact and real experiences again. The hangover that apps such
as Tinder and Badoo have left is that now people do not know how or where to
start meeting potential dates and heaven forbid someone would ask someone on a
date to their face!
There is a new wave of
online dating being started by brands such as NOW Dating.
Recently covered in the Telegraph as
one of the best dating apps of 2017. They promise to connect real people at
great Venues for
real dates in the moment.
This balance of online and
offline allows singles to find other people available for a date at the same
time, invite (no face to face invitations, phew!), and date real people. The beauty of this is that
you don’t get fake, silent or predatory matches. You meet real people and get
to know them over a real date. Online dating is becoming
less online as singletons resist the urge to swipe and give in to their craving
to create real experiences, now.
